Woodhaven Kennel was founded in 1979 by trusted veterinarian Dr. Chet Anderson to provide the residents of Montgomery County with a quality facility to board their pets.  Thirty years later we still share the same values created by Dr. Anderson.  We believe in providing a safe, healthy and loving environment for your pets while you are away.  All dogs and cats, large or small are welcome to stay with us.  We have the knowledge and experience to professionally and compassionately care for your pets.  We offer large boarding runs for larger pets and sections of smaller cages to house our smaller friends.  Our smaller cages are separated from the large runs to keep our smaller guests from being intimidated by our larger ones. 

Our outdoor runs allow our more active guests a chance to run around and play in the fresh air.  We also offer group and individual playtime for a nominal fee.  This interaction with other dogs and our staff helps exercise your pets while you are away, but also helps to keep them calm and greatly improves the quality of their stay.  This keeps your pet from remaining locked up for extended periods of time and greatly helps relieve their anxiety and allows for a much calmer and happier pet. 



We currently offer full service grooming on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Even if your pet doesn't stay with us, we can still help make them look and smell their best.  Proper grooming is more than just a fancy haircut or a pleasant smelling pet.  Proper grooming is a great way to ensure the proper health of your pet.  By removing the dirt and parasites from their fur, your pets skin is able to maintain its health.  Proper grooming also helps control excessive shedding and uncomfortable matting.  We offer first time grooming discounts and grooming discounts for some of our boarding guests.  Please check out our grooming page for a full list of grooming services available.  Please call or make your reservation request online today.
